Information from Centrebus for students travelling on the X6 Service
X6 Information
Dear All,
Autumn Term Tickets for Centrebus services X6 from Radcliffe, Bingham, East Bridgford, Aslockton, Whatton, Elton, Orston, Bottesford and Barrowby are now available to buy through our online shop https://www.centrebusshop.co.uk/531359-grantham-schools.
Journeys to Grantham Schools (including KGGS and Kings) on the X6/6 will be operated as 'closed door' school journeys and students will need to purchase an Autumn Term ticket from our online shop to travel. Students who normal travel from Barrowby on the Bingham bus will be able to buy a Back to School smartcard or pay on bus on this service as normal for their travel.
The X6 is operated by 2 double deck buses and 1 single deck bus. Standees are not permitted and the 2 seats directly behind the driver will be cordoned off. I have attached a copy of last years timetable which is what we are expecting to operate in terms of the school journeys from the 1st September. There may be some changes to the non-school day journeys from the attached. Please check our website www.centrebus.info which will be updated with the confirmed final service level for the 1st September by the 28th August.
The 6A service journeys to and from Bottesford will operate as a normal registered bus service which will be open to the public and carry 50% of normal capacity. Passengers will be able to purchase a ticket on bus on this service as normal.
We advise all customers to ensure they read our Covid-19 Student Ticketing Measures and Conditions prior to purchasing a ticket.
Service levels for the 8 and 55/56 are still being finalised, please keep an eye on our website as these will be updated during the course of the week.
