GLEA Grade 3 Points 6-9 (£20,812 to £21,968 on a full time, full year basis).

Actual starting salary based on 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year £15,987 gross per annum.

This role involves working as part of the pastoral support team to ensure colleagues are able to support pupils to flourish by coordinating information between school, parents and outside agencies and ensuring school systems are maintained. This involves highly effective and efficient organisational and administration duties.

The post holder will be required to work 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday during term time plus one additional week to cover specified training events and general departmental work (39 weeks per year).

Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and as this post is considered to be ‘regulated activity’, a check through the Disclosure and Barring Service including the children’s barred list.

Successful applicants must be familiar with, and comply with policies and procedures relating to safeguarding, child protection and promote the welfare of students.

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are “spent” unless they are “protected” under the DBS filtering rules, see https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/dbs-filtering-guidance) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.

The start date for this position is 1 September 2023.
